We are seeking an Account Technology Strategist (ATS) to support the French based global accounts sales in Germany (downstream). The ATS is at the forefront of our digital transformation efforts for our customers. He/she is responsible for identifying customers downstream business priorities, understanding how these align with the accounts global strategy. They define, prioritize and execute the Microsoft 3 cloud (Microsoft Azure Cloud, Modern Workplace solutions, and Microsoft Dynamics 365) sales and technology downstream account development roadmap, in close collaboration and agreement with the global account team.

The ATS represents Microsoft in front of the customers local entities and is responsible for the orchestration of the various internal and external resources to execute and deliver against those roadmaps. Permanent improvement drive is a given, and capacity for disruption, a must. The ATS entrepreneurship, technical acumen, passion, listening skills and emotional intelligence are key factors in enabling the customers to understand Microsoft value proposition and how to leverage it to reach their business goals. They are members of a team that aspires for the customers line-of-business platform to migrate and grow on Microsoft 3 clouds, while simultaneously respecting legacy platforms as needed. The ATS reports to the International Sales Manager and is the owner of the customers relationship (Business Decision Makers & IT Decision Makers) in the downstream entities, in close alignment with the global account team.

This role is based in Germany and requires high flexibility (up to 60% of travel mostly domestic) depending on main customer stakeholders and events locations.



Responsibilities

As an Account Technology Strategist (ATS), consider yourself a dedicated virtual CTO who owns CTO, CDO, CIO relationships, as well as develops and contributes to CxO relationships.

We are looking for you to thoroughly understand our customers business, challenges and priorities, the markets in which they operate, and Microsofts capability to help them drive their digital transformation. You will also be the evangelist in the customers downstream entities, developing the awareness of Microsoft technologies and of the global account strategy. You may have a track record in the industry and may have performed in positions such as CIO, CTO, CDO. The broad scope of responsibility of this role requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy, change management, and a principled approach to broad digital transformational challenges and opportunities. You may also share a common set of characteristics - such as strong leadership, autonomy, self-discipline and commercial awareness- and bring the experience that drive innovation and customer value.

The ATS Will Be Responsible For The Following

  • Digital transformation -Disrupting the mindset of customers and sales teams by bringing innovative ideas that showcase Microsofts unique value proposition
  • Leadership -Orchestrating our diverse Microsoft teams in order to help solidify the path to the complex yet exciting journey that is digital transformation. Beyond orchestration, you will display the ability to rely on the help of others and ensure there is a vested interest to engage
  • Strategic vision Leading the identification of customer local business priorities, reconciling with the global customer strategy, composing the two together to develop a strategic and technical local development roadmap
  • Technical architecture ownership - Leading the design and delivery of technical architectures in industries such as Financial Services and Manufacturing / Aerospace & Defense
  • Technical sales leadership - Differentiating yourself by having a combination of a strong focus in line-of-business platform and related industry solutions
  • Executive presence - Owning relationships with technology executives -CIO/CTO/CDO and members of their office, and developing & influencing relationships with other CxOs (CEO, COO, CFO, )
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in digital transformation roles
  • 5+ years of experience leading technical team
  • Experience in leading business development & technical sales is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or business administration or Master's' degree, preferred
  • Experience in business consulting or consultative selling is desired
  • Regulated industry experience is preferred
  • Languages: English and German are required. French is a plus.
